Licensing

What you can build with it.

Short version: use what you pay for in your own and your clients’ projects. Don’t resell the templates or prompts themselves.

Last updated 22 October 2026

In plain words

You may use the code and prompts you get from MOTION/LAB to make websites — for yourself or for clients — and sell those websites. You may not sell, share or give away the templates, prompts or demos as they are, or put them in another template shop, prompt pack or effects library.

Free

  • View every live demo, use the Playground and read the source shown on the site to learn.
  • Personal, non-commercial projects only.

Prompts Pro

  • Copy and use every animation prompt, in every format, while your subscription is active.
  • Use the results in unlimited personal and commercial projects, including client work.
  • Sites you built while subscribed keep their licence after you cancel. New use needs an active plan.

All Access

  • Everything in Prompts Pro.
  • Download and use every template’s source code in unlimited personal and client projects while subscribed.
  • Projects you finished while subscribed stay licensed after you cancel.

Single template ($39, one-time)

  • One template’s source code and prompt, yours to keep, with free updates.
  • Use it for one end product — one website for you or for one client. For more sites, buy again or use All Access.

What you can’t do

  • Resell, share, sublicense or give away templates, prompts or demo code as they are, alone or in a bundle.
  • Use them to build a competing template marketplace, prompt pack, theme or effects library.
  • Share your account or downloads with people outside your team.
  • Claim the original work as your own design in a portfolio of templates.

Third-party parts

Templates and demos use open-source libraries under their own licences, which still apply: GSAP (free for commercial use under its standard licence), Three.js (MIT), Lenis (MIT). Template fonts come only from families under the SIL Open Font License, which allows use inside templates; each template lists the fonts it uses. The MOTION/LAB website’s own UI font is not part of any template.

Free asset packs

The packs on the assets page are original work released under CC0 unless the pack says otherwise — use them for anything, no credit needed. The licence file sits inside each pack.
